Each eve, we’ll meet in a different Central park spot, take a brief nature walk, and then delve into composition, perspective, line and value. I’ll walk back and forth and give guidance, while they develop independence with their own inspiration, with supplies provided (some to take home). The artistic adventure will culminate with outdoor play time (and usually when it comes to nature, it’s always exciting to see wildlife too!
We’ll explore supplies from graphite to charcoal to watercolor and pen and ink on fun papers, panels out of wood and cardboard, as well as canvas. We won’t share supplies back and forth, but instead will have each child be given her/his very own art pouches carrying supplies. They will be responsible for keeping them in pouch, and I will wipe down bags/keep in a bag for each class.
